Oh! To Be in England!

We just got back from the most amazing trip to London!
It was the perfect combination of junking, sightseeing, junking, exploring, junking and riding LOTS of double decker buses.

of Paris adventures....

We're thrilled to announce the launch of a flea market trip to London
in September of 2015!  Our exact dates are TBA.
Please email us at pluckymaidens{at}gmail{dot}com and we'll send you
up-to-the-minute details on this jolly good experience.

In the meantime, here's a peek...

Vintage British deliciousness at a market in the East End of London.

A very large clock we all know and love.

The back of Buckingham Palace, a view rarely seen by the public.
We had tea in the garden at the Palace....REALLY!  More on that later.

A super neat display at a flea market.

The London Eye at sunset.  (Photo taken from the top floor of a double decker!)

Harrods Department Store.  The Food Halls are epic.  Can't wait for you to see them!

A happy jumble of letters at a sale.

Love the reds and greens and yellows!

The view from our little studio in Chelsea.

This pub actually exists.  Who wants to go there for a drink?

More yummy British junk.

A glowing sign for the Tube.

The Albert Bridge.

Afternoon tea at Buckingham Palace with my daughter, Emma.

More on our excursion to Buckingham Palace:  Every Summer, for the past several years, the State Rooms of the Palace are open to the public for a few weeks while the Queen is staying in Scotland.  The tour this year included a visit to 14 State Rooms, a marvelous (and very moving) exhibit on the Royal Childhood, and the chance to wander through the Palace gardens.  There's also a lovely restaurant outside where visitors can have tea and sweets.
Such a delightful and memorable afternoon!
