It's Christmas, Which Means it's Time for Orange Carrot Cookies!

And for your baking and tasting pleasure this holiday season, may we present the most delicious cookies in the whole, wide world.  Here's the recipe in case you want to try them. But be prepared, you will be the most popular gal on your block.  And that's a Plucky promise!

Orange Carrot Cookies

3/4 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup cooked mashed carrots (approx 5 carrots, boil about 30 minutes)
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking POWDER
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream margarine and sugar together. Add egg and carrots, mix well. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to sugar mixture with vanilla. Drop by rounded (kitchen) teaspoonfuls on slightly greased cookie sheet. Bake @ 375 for 11 minutes.

Frosting:
Juice from 1/2 orange
1 & 1/2 TBsp butter (unsalted)
1 & 1/2 cups powdered sugar

I usually double the frosting recipe.  I don't think I need to tell you why.  ;~)

French Treasures Await.....

Paris in 2015?  Oui, Oui!

We found the sweet Mica covered church and blown glass bird last May at the Porte de Vanves flea market on the outskirts of Paris.  Would you like to join us this Spring to shop for your own vintage Christmas treasures?  Bien sur!

We host small group trips to shop for French junk, explore the City of Light and laugh...A lot.  We have only 4 spaces left for our 3rd (and final!) week in 2015.

Please see trip information, including dates and pricing details, HERE.

Merci & Joyeux Noel!
